Garage Cleanout
Spring Branch, Houston
Spring Branch garages are older, smaller and usually detached — a fifties single or double at the back of the lot, reached down a narrow drive, holding sixty years of a house that has probably been remodelled twice. We clear them as flat truck-fill from $241, back down the drive rather than making you carry it up front, and take the remodel debris that city heavy trash will not.
How it works
1 · One photo down the drive
Open the garage and shoot from where your car would sit. If it is a detached garage down a long drive, take a second shot showing the drive itself so we know what will fit.
2 · A flat number, not a range
Labour, truck, loading and disposal in one fixed price. It is quoted before anyone is dispatched and it does not move once you have accepted it.
3 · Cleared and swept
We work from inside the structure out, load straight to the truck, and sweep the slab. Nothing is left stacked at the front of the property.
Why Spring Branch garages are their own problem
They are detached and out of sight
Most of the original fifties and sixties stock put the garage at the back of the lot. Out of sight is out of mind — these fill up quietly over decades in a way an attached bay never does, because nobody walks through one daily.
The drive is narrow and often shared
Older Spring Branch lots have a single-width drive, sometimes with a neighbour’s fence a foot off it. We check the drive photo before dispatch and bring the vehicle that actually fits rather than discovering it on arrival.
Two generations of remodelling
This is a heavy teardown-and-remodel neighbourhood. Old cabinets, doors, tile offcuts, a bath suite and half a kitchen end up in the garage waiting for a trip that never happens — and that is precisely the category city heavy trash will not collect.
Carports instead of garages
A lot of the stock has a carport and a small storage room rather than a full garage. Those rooms are dense — tools, paint, tyres, yard kit — and we price them by volume, which usually lands well under a truck.
Long-held family houses
Spring Branch has households that have been in the same house forty years, and garages that reflect it. Estate and downsizing clearances here are often the fullest jobs we run in west Houston.
No HOA to force the issue
Unlike the master-planned suburbs west of Beltway 8, most of Spring Branch has no covenant enforcement. Nothing makes you clear it — which is why it waits until a sale, a remodel or a family change forces the decision.
What a Spring Branch garage cleanout costs
Flat truck-fill, priced from your photo. A detached fifties single garage is usually a quarter to a half truck; a double that has absorbed a remodel runs to three-quarters or more. These are the live Houston catalogue prices — the same ones the quote tool returns.
| What we take | Flat price | Typical Spring Branch job |
|---|---|---|
| Quarter truck (~4 cu yd) | $241 | A carport storage room, or one wall of a single garage |
| Three-eighths truck (~6 cu yd) | $338 | Detached single garage, contents only |
| Half truck (~8 cu yd) | $431 | Single garage plus the cabinets from a kitchen remodel |
| Five-eighths truck (~10 cu yd) | $513 | Detached double, shelving included |
| Three-quarter truck (~12 cu yd) | $587 | Double garage with remodel debris and yard kit |
| Seven-eighths truck (~14 cu yd) | $661 | Forty-year garage cleared for an estate sale |
| Full truck (~16 cu yd) | $732 | Garage and carport room stripped before a teardown |
| Small junk pile | $82 | The corner by the door |
| Medium junk pile | $129 | One wall, loose |
| Large junk pile | $208 | Most of a single bay, loose |
| Refrigerator or freezer | $164 | The chest freezer that came with the house |
| Home gym | $241 | Rack and bench in the back of the garage |
| Treadmill | $115 | On its own |
| Metal shelving unit | $71 | Per bay, dismantled by us |
| Sofa | $126 | The one that has been out there since the last remodel |
| Queen mattress | $103 | Stored flat against the back wall |
The minimum is $75, so a single item is priced as an item rather than as a truck.
What city heavy trash will and will not do here
You are inside the city limits
Spring Branch addresses in 77055, 77080 and 77043 are City of Houston, so you are on the Solid Waste Management Department’s rounds rather than a county MUD contractor — a real difference from Katy or Sugar Land.
Junk waste alternates with tree waste
The city runs heavy trash on a monthly cycle that alternates junk waste and tree waste months. Check your own address on the city schedule, because the month you are in decides what they will even look at.
Remodel debris is the gap
Construction and demolition material from your own remodel — cabinets, tile, drywall, doors, fixtures, lumber — is the category heavy trash is not for. That is the single most common reason Spring Branch calls us.
Tyres, fridges and paint
Tyres are refused, appliances have their own handling, and liquid paint, fuel and pesticides need household hazardous waste rather than any kerbside truck. We take the fridge at $164; we will tell you straight which items need the HHW route.
The pile has to sit out front
Even where the city will take it, it means your whole garage on the kerb for days. We load from the structure to the truck in one visit, which is the point.
No waiting for the right month
You do not schedule around a collection calendar. Same-day is often available and next-day is routine in this part of west Houston.
What comes out of these garages
Remodel leftovers
Cabinets, worktop offcuts, doors, tile, a bath suite, skirting and the lumber from the last project. Folded into truck-fill by volume like anything else.
Tools and workbenches
Spring Branch garages are working garages. Benches, vices, compressors and forty years of hand tools — we dismantle and load, you do not prep anything.
The second fridge or freezer
$164, with refrigerant handled under the proper regulated process rather than billed as an extra line.
Shelving and racking
$71 a bay, taken apart by us. Old timber shelving built into the walls comes out too.
Yard and pool kit
Mowers, edgers, hose reels, a broken pump, bags of hardened cement. Fuel gets drained or flagged, never quietly left.
Furniture in storage
The sofa, the mattress, the dining set that went out to the detached garage as a temporary measure some years ago.
Where we work around Spring Branch
We cover 77055, 77080 and 77043 and the surrounding west Houston addresses — Long Point, Spring Branch East and West, Campbell Woods, Hollister, Blalock and out toward Memorial, Hedwig Village, Spring Valley and Bunker Hill.
The same crews run the rest of the city: junk removal in Houston, garage cleanouts citywide, Katy and Sugar Land, plus furniture removal, appliance removal and estate cleanouts. For the full price list see the garage cleanout cost guide, and what bulk pickup will not take covers the heavy-trash gaps in detail.
